Indoor Rock Climbing Wall

Reach New Heights at the Trent Athletics Centre Rock Climbing Wall!

Looking for a fun and challenging way to stay active? Our 28-foot indoor rock climbing wall is open to all Trent students and community members — and it's included with your membership!

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced climber, our wall offers a variety of routes with different terrain and difficulty levels to keep you engaged and progressing.

What You Need to Know:

Introductory Lesson (Mandatory):

Before climbing, all participants must complete a 90-minute Introductory Lesson, which covers essential climbing techniques and safety procedures, including belaying.

  • Lessons require two participants, so bring a friend!
  • Must be completed once per school year.
  • Harnesses and helmets are provided free of charge.

Climbing Gear:

Indoor or climbing shoes are required. We’ve got the rest covered!

Climber Check-In & Waivers:
  • All climbers must sign in with a Climbing Instructor before climbing.
  • A waiver form must be signed prior to your first climb (valid for one year).
  • Climbers 18+ may sign their own waiver; those under 18 require a parent or guardian signature.
  • To request a waiver in advance, email sport@trentu.ca.

BOOK AN INTRODUCTORY LESSON

Booking Required:

All climbing sessions must be booked online in advance. Each session is 1.5 hours.
