Mini Excalibur Program is for those campers ready for fun, challenges, and adventures with TEC.  This is a full day, two-week program for our youngest campers and offers a safe, active environment to give kids the perfect introduction to Summer Camp!  Campers participate in daily planned activities including sports, art, science, and outdoor education.  We focus on offering activities that encourage teamwork, fair play, and kindness.  There are a range of activities offered for this program including, rock wall, zoo visits, BBQ Day, and swimming in our newly renovated pool.  Our Mini Ex campers benefit from higher levels of supervision, with 1 counsellor to 6 campers, compared to 1 counsellor to 9 campers with our older age groups.

Multisport Recreation (Offered in Session A, B, C, D, E)

Junior: 7-8 (2018-2019), Intermediate: 9-10 (2016-2017) , Senior: 11-14 (2012-2015)

Our Multisport Camp is a favorite with active children who want to explore a wide variety of sports! In our Multisport Recreation Camp, children develop their physical literacy, try new activities, improve their game, and meet new friends in a fun-filled environment. Campers will take part in a variety of sports including basketball, rugby, lacrosse, soccer, rock climbing, and more! They are also introduced to fundamental sport and movement skills, as identified in the Canadian Sport for Life model.

This program is for our campers who enjoy participating in sports or physical activity recreationally, rather than in a highly competitive environment. This program will focus more on play, activities, and participation than the skills and drills of our competitive program. Our goal is to help campers form healthy habits and stay active for life, with the priority every single day being to have FUN!

Campers will take part in a variety of sports including basketball, rugby, lacrosse, soccer, rock climbing, and more! Campers also experience waterfront activities including canoeing, river front swimming and indoor swimming.

This program will focus more on skills, drills, tactics, and competitive play than our recreation program. Campers will compete in a different sport daily. Special guest from our Varsity teams and community representatives will enhance and support our programming. Our Multisport Camp is a favorite with active children who want to explore a wide variety of sports! In our Multisport Competitive Camp, children develop their physical literacy, try new activities, improve their game, and meet new friends in a fun-filled environment. Campers will take part in a variety of sports including basketball, rugby, lacrosse, soccer, rock climbing, and more! Arts Camp is for campers who want to immerse themselves in the arts to explore their creativity, grow confidence, or develop their performance skills. All of our activities give campers hands-on experience learning techniques within a variety of arts disciplines, such as mixed media in visual arts, creating routines in dance, and voice projection in theater. At the end of the two-week session, camper groups will have the opportunity to deliver a small performance in front of their friends and family at our end-of-session camp BBQ.

Personal reflection, sustainability, and leadership within the camp environment are core principles of this program. Campers will receive lessons in canoeing, safety skills, and orienteering, whilst building confidence, self-esteem, independence, teamwork, and communication skills.

Our hands-on approach immerses campers in the wonderful world of science, with previous sessions including coding, chemistry, biology, physics, ecology, kinesiology, and forensics. The goal is that campers will leave camp with a greater knowledge and a deeper passion for science and all of its components by creating, building, and assembling a variety of take-home projects and exploring how science affects the world around us.

Junior: 7-8 (2018-2019), Intermediate: 9-10 (2016-2017), Senior: 11-14 (2012-2015)

We know that everyone finds their favorite hobby at different times, and some people just love new activities, so this camp is designed to provide diverse experiences and guaranteed fun!

Swimming Lessons (Offered Session A, B, C, D)

All campers

Looking for the opportunity for your camper to participate in swimming lessons throughout their camp day? Register for this add-on.  Our Camp staff will look after getting your camper to and from their Camps to their lessons, and then back to camp. This add-on is restricted to those registered in Mini Excalibur, Multisport, Ultimate, Science, and Integrated Arts.

Parents will need to provide the most recent (within 3 months of the camp session for which they are registering for) swim report card.  If they cannot provide this, a swim test will be completed during camp open house or on the first day of camp to assess and ensure the swimmer is at the appropriate level.

Extended Care Program

All campers
We understand that family schedules are busy (and sometimes complicated!), so offer childcare outside the camp day. Registration in our Extended Care program helps to ease the pressure on the adults dropping off and picking up their kids from camp. This program takes place in the Athletics Centre gymnasium and provides a safe, fun and supervised environment. Pre-Care is offered from 7:45-8:30am and After-Care is offered from 4:30-5:30pm. Extended Care can be selected as an "add-on" and paid for in advance at the time of registration.
