GROUP FITNESS DROP-IN CLASSES

AQUAFIT

Enjoy a low-impact, full-body workout in the water that improves strength, endurance, and flexibility. This class uses water resistance and simple equipment for a moderate challenge, perfect for all fitness levels. Finish with gentle stretches to leave you feeling refreshed and energized.

BELLY DANCING

While working to both isolate and combine multi-directional movements of various muscle groups, participants experience improved coordination, muscle tone, posture, digestion and a general feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation. This class is designed for all levels as participants are given opportunities to work at their own pace by building on a repertoire of movements, which will be reviewed and expanded upon each week.

BRAIN/BRAWN

This class focuses on the brain-body connection.  Each class consists of a series of challenges akin to 'rubbing your belly patting your head' which are fostered and refined through repetition, visual and audio cues. Also included are aerobic and strength training combos along with balance and agility exercises that are important for improving mental focus for everyday living. Each session ends with a period of gentle stretching, relaxation and breathing exercises while listening to music, each meant to provide the brain and body with rest and rejuvenation.

CARDIO MUSCLE JAM

Cardio Muscle Jam begins with a low to moderate impact aerobic component with easy to learn choreography followed using hand weights, bar and mat work.  This class has a combined focus on building cardiovascular and muscular strength along with endurance and flexibility.

CHAIR EXERCISE

This class uses a chair as a steady base while moving the limbs and body in ways that build strength, flexibility, and stability. Stretchy bands and lightly inflated balls are incorporated to build strength and help release tension, while soft discs support foot exercises and balance. Breathing techniques, gentle eye exercises, and mindfulness practices are included to help regulate the nervous system and reduce stress. One portion of the class is performed standing, with hands resting on the chair for support. A walker may be used in place of a chair as needed.

CORE & BALANCE

This class combines functional movement and stability to help you feel strong and balanced in everyday life. We’ll begin with a dynamic warm-up to open the diaphragm and release tension in the lower back. Then, we’ll focus on shifting weight, improving balance, and controlling movement at different tempos. Slower, mindful exercises will strengthen the entire body from the ankles upward, with modifications to support foot and muscle strength. Throughout the class, you’ll practice proper posture and core engagement while using light weights for added challenge. We’ll finish with a relaxing stretch to leave you feeling centered and refreshed.

CORE & MOBILITY

A low-impact class focused on building core strength, improving flexibility, and enhancing overall body control. Through controlled movements and gentle mobility work, you’ll target the core, hips, and spine to support better posture and everyday movement. Suitable for all fitness levels.
