Generations of Trent students gathered in the Great Hall for the Seasoned Spoon 10 Year Anniversary Celebration on the evening of Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Champlain College, Trent University.

During the day, students from the Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems program hosted a full day of gardening workshops and discussions on seed starting, composting, and growing, sourcing, storing and connecting in the community.

Dr. Steven E. Franklin, Trent University president and vice-chancellor joined students, staff and alumni for a great feast to acknowledge and celebrate the milestone occasion.

The Seasoned Spoon is a non-profit, vegetarian, cooperative café located in Champlain College at Trent University, serving affordable, local, and organic food. The Spoon serves food grown on campus and in the community which is now stored in a sustainable root cellar. The Spoon also provides educational initiatives through volunteer opportunities, workshops, speakers and conferences. The Seasoned Spoon is proud of strong community links to local producers, businesses and community organizations.
