Academic Scholarship

Graham Hart Scholarship in Media Studies 

Established in memory of Graham Hart, beloved member of the Peterborough Community and longtime CHEX-TV presenter. Preference for this scholarship to be available to a student in the Media Studies program, who demonstrates qualities and characteristics such as leadership, critical thinking, and research.  (Current Value: $1000.00)

DEADLINE: April 24th of the current academic year


CRITERIA  

  1. Recipient must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program. 

  2. Recipient should demonstrate qualities and characteristics such as leadership, critical thinking, and research.  

  3. Recipient must have received a letter of reference from a Trent Faculty Member.  

  4. Recipient must be in financial need. 

  5. Recipient must be in good academic standing with a cumulative minimum average of 80%.


APPLICATION PROCESS

A Trent faculty member may submit a letter of reference for a Student they feel meets the criteria OR a Student may approach a Trent faculty member to request that they submit a letter of reference on their behalf. Please note that graduating students are eligible to apply.

Letters of reference should highlight the qualities outlined in the criteria including, but not limited to: leadership, critical thinking, research.

Letters of reference should be sent by email directly from the Trent faculty member to cultstudiesprizes@trentu.ca and the subject line should read:

Graham Hart Scholarship - Student Name, Student Number
