Proudly multicultural, Canada and Trent University provide an exceptional environment to live, learn, and build your future career.

Canada is known for high-quality education, vibrant, safe, multicultural communities, and research and teaching excellence. Canadian universities provide a space for you to learn and lead through collaboration and creativity.

At Trent University, you will gain valuable knowledge and skills that will prepare you to succeed in today’s competitive job market.

Why choose Canada?

  • Canada ranks among the top 5 countries worldwide for education. Canada is also a global leader in research and innovation in fields shaping the future, including data science, AI, engineering, healthcare, environmental science, and more.
  • Canadian degrees are respected globally, with leading research and ample opportunities to gain practical experience through co-ops, internships and work placements.
  • Studying in Canada is more affordable than many other international study destinations, like the USA, UK, and Australia.
  • Canada is one of the most diverse countries in the world, and is routinely ranked as one of the world’s safest countries.
  • As an international student in Canada, you can work while you study, for up to three years after you graduate. Canada’s strong immigration programs support international students seeking employment opportunities in Canada’s robust job market.
  • After graduating, you may be eligible to transition to permanent residency in Canada.
  • Explore Canada’s breathtaking landscapes in all four seasons, vibrant cities and small towns. Canada has more than two million lakes and rivers, and more inland waterways than any other country in the world, including the historic Trent-Severn Waterway, which Trent’s Peterborough campus is located on.

Interested in graduate studies in Canada? Great news!

Master’s and Ph.D. students benefit from a streamlined application process and are exempt from Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) requirements. Doctoral (Ph.D.) students and their accompanying family members may also be eligible for faster processing on their study permit applications.

Why choose to study in Canada at Trent?
