Esstin McLeod, Anishnaabe Kwe from the Misswezahging First Nation is a Native Visionary Practitioner who is passionate about promoting and facilitating Anishinaabe Health and healing practices. Esstin has researched, studied and promoted Plant Therapy (plant based remedies) for the past 30 plus years, and has incorporated Spiritual Practices assisting individuals with awakening the spiritual consciousness to self, others, Creation and Creator. Her facilitation of the Medicine Wheel is designed from a Wholistic Health Approach, which creatively facilitates a unique approach to personal wellness. She has developed her role as a Traditional Medicine Practitioner & Healer, by providing and facilitating healing services to health care centers in Northern and Southern Ontario. Esstin is in her fourth year of teaching and promoting her designed workshop series “Traditional Healing- Ancient Wisdom of Healing”; wild crafting plant base remedies and awakening the spiritual consciousness to Creation. Her vision is to reinstate a place in society for Native healers by assisting with self-confidence regarding their roles and practices within the scope of “Native Traditional Healing Practices”. Mrs. McLeod is founder of Mskwa Miikiinan Medicine Lodge, Red Road to health, healing and happiness. She resides on the First Nation with her husband of 20 years.

Challenge the Way You Think

Trent University respectfully acknowledges it is located on the treaty and traditional territory of the Mississauga Anishinaabeg. We offer our gratitude to First Peoples for their care for, and teachings about, our earth and our relations. May we honour those teachings.
