Move-Out Information – Spring 2026
As the academic year comes to a close, we want to help you prepare for a smooth move-out experience. Please review the important dates, policies, and procedures below.
Exam Period Quiet Hours & Courtesy Hours
23-hour quiet hours are in effect during the exam period to support a focused and respectful environment for all students.
Spring Term Quiet Hours:
April 7 at 11:00 PM – April 24, 2026
Courtesy Hour:
8:00 PM – 9:00 PM daily
(All other times are quiet hours.)
Please be mindful of your peers who are preparing for exams.
For noise concerns, contact:
- Residence Life Don On-Duty (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
- Security (available at any time)
Guest Policy During the Exam Period
To maintain a quiet and secure environment:
- No guests without a Residence Agreement are permitted during 23-hour quiet hours.
- The no-guest policy is in effect until May 1, 2026.
Service Centre Hours (Exam Period)
All Service Centres will operate:
Daily: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Locations:
- East Service Centre (Gzowski)
- West Service Centre (Lady Eaton)
- South Service Centre (Lady Eaton Annex)
All Service Centres close:
April 30 at 4:00 PM
Dining Hall Information
Dining Hall hours during the exam period will be posted on the Trent Food Services website.
Students are encouraged to check regularly for updated schedules.
Residence Closing
To support a residence environment conducive to the exam period, students are encouraged to move out within 24 hours after their final exam.
All students must vacate residence by:
May 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM
This is the final move-out deadline for the Winter Term.
Move-Out Procedures
Before leaving residence, students are required to complete the following:
- Fully clean your room
- Return all furniture to its original layout
- Remove all garbage, recycling, and personal belongings
- If renting a Coldex fridge, unplug and clean it for pickup
- Close windows
- Turn off lights
- Lock the door
- Return all keys to a Service Centre or After-Hours Drop Box
- Complete checkout via the Housing Portal
Failure to complete these steps may result in additional charges.
Summer Residence Information
Summer Residence Dates:
May 3 – August 15, 2026
Available in both Peterborough and Durham.
