Repairs and Maintenance Requests

Students in Residence requests for maintenance: 

Students with residence maintenance concerns can submit repair requests by logging onto the Housing Services Portal through their myTrent account. If students have any additional questions or concerns regarding maintenance within residence, they can contact residencerepairs@trentu.ca or call Housing at 705-748-1011 ext. 7127.  More information can be found on the Student Housing website.

Staff Requests for Regular Maintenance Service - Maintenance Planner

To request or report required regular maintenance services (non-emergency) including special event setup requests, plumbing issues, too hot/cold, electrical, cleanup, carpentry, painting, flooring, etc. get signed up to log on to our new maintenance system by emailing fixit@trentu.ca.

Once you have a log on set up, you will be able to request maintenance from your smart phone/tablet via the Maintenance Planner App and/or by logging on to the system from your computer, view the following guides and training video for more info:

To submit a Capital Project/Renovation request, Budget Holders are to fill out a request form in myTrent under Services - Facilities Management - for more info see our Project Management page.

For Emergency Service, call ext. 1366 weekdays 8:00am - 4:00pm (call Security at ext. 1333 after hours)

For emergency service over the lunch hour, evenings, and on weekends or holidays, please call Campus Security at x1333 for emergency maintenance service. This would include flooding/active water damage issue, stuck elevator, Fire (please call 911 first), building-level power outage, safety concerns such as icy entrances, spills, broken window, etc.

Important points:

  • Fire pit users must be directly associated with Trent, if they are not, the contact is through conference services at conferences@trentu.ca
  • There is a 3-day lead time for bookings, bookings may also be cancelled on the day of based on Fire restrictions imposed by the City/County
