The Facilities Management Department is responsible for planning, construction, renovating, repairing and maintaining the University's facilities and grounds. The University has approximately 1,400 acres of land in Peterborough alone, with over 1.5M gross square feet of building space to maintain at our three locations: Peterborough's main Symons Campus, downtown Peterborough Traill College, and our Durham GTA campus.

We aim to respect the architectural vision of iconic Architect Ron Thom who designed the original Symons Campus facilities and infrastructure which grow out of the natural landscape. We are dedicated to providing our services using environmentally sustainable practices and strive to continually improve energy efficiency and waste diversion on campus.
