Accept your Offer of Admission to the Consecutive Bachelor of Education - Congratulations!

At Trent you are joining a community committed to the field of education where we focus on individual growth and development and educational leadership. By accepting your Offer of Admission, you will officially be a Trent student and part of our community. There a several very important next steps you must follow after you accept your Offer of Admission.

YOUR NEXT STEPS to completing your acceptance into the Bachelor of Education program is extremely important. Please take the time to read each of these steps carefully. All information needed is provided below. Please also note that scanning and e-mailing the forms required is not acceptable. Due to the sensitivity of the documents requested, we require original copies mailed to the addresses indicated. Though it is not required, you may want to consider sending some of these documents via registered mail to ensure we receive them.

1. PROGRAM AND PRACTICUM INFORMATION
(Contractual Agreement with the School of Education)

Before accepting your offer, you must read and agree to the practicum and program agreement for the Bachelor of Education program.

2. Accept Your Offer

Follow the instructions on how to accept before proceeding to your next steps 2-9.

Conditions of Your Offer

  • This offer is conditional upon successful completion of your undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and receipt of your final transcript.
  • Candidates in the Intermediate/Senior program must provide proof of five (5) full course equivalents in the first teaching subject, and three (3) full course equivalents in the second teaching subject.

Your offer of admission to the B.Ed. program is based upon Trent's assessment and interpretation of the academic credentials submitted through your application. While you have been offered admission to our B.Ed. program, Trent does not guarantee that your credentials will be accepted by the Ontario College of Teachers 

*Note:  French as a Second Language requires five full course equivalents as a first teaching subject and four full credit equivalents as a second teaching subject.

3. Welcome Reception

February 21, 2026   |   1:00pm - 3:00pm 

Want to learn more about the program before or after you accept? A virtual welcome reception by the School of Education will be hosted on Saturday, February 21st from 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm. During the reception, you will learn more about our unique program and the many exciting opportunities available to you at Trent. More information and Zoom links will be e-mailed to you closer to the day.

*Interested in exploring the campus in person? Click to book a campus tour. Tours run daily at 1:00 p.m., Monday - Friday and some Saturdays.

4. Teacher Candidate Information Form 

Deadline: June 12, 2026

This form will provide the Practicum Office with information necessary to arrange your practicum location and must be submitted by June 12, 2026.

Deadline: June 12, 2026

Submit your $500 non-refundable tuition payment by June 12, 2026. Click here for payment methods.

The tuition for 2026 will be published at the below link when available.

» Submit your photo online (AFTER June 1st when the service becomes available), when creating your B.Ed. Teacher Candidate Security ID card (required), by logging into the myTrent portal and following the link under: Services > Campus Services > Trent University Photo Submission

6. Vulnerable Sector Screening & Tuberculosis Test Record

a) VSS Deadline: Apply Between May 1 and May 15, 2026; due by June 12, 2026
[NOTE: The document is valid for one year from date of application and you need to be fully covered up until April 30, 2026 so do not apply for it earlier than May 1 to 15, 2025] Teacher Candidates should also choose the 'Volunteer' option when applying, as not to be charged the employment fee.

b) TB Deadline: June 12, 2026
[NOTE:  A one-step test is acceptable. A two-step test is not required, although it will be accepted.]

Friday, June 19, 2026

This 2-hour session with the Program Manager, staff and faculty, will provide you with program guidance and situate you with an overview of the next two years. You will receive an e-mail with more details closer to the day.

8. Official Final Transcripts

Deadline: July 1, 2026

Transcripts must indicate degree awarded and the completion of all courses, which are counted towards teachable subjects (Intermediate/Senior candidates only). Transcripts must be submitted through OUAC for Ontario Universities or mailed directly from issuing institution outside of Ontario by July 1st, 2026.

9. Term Begins
