Ecological Restoration BSc

The curriculum of the Ecological Restoration (ERES) BSc degree is designed to meet the knowledge requirements of the international Society for Ecological Restoration, which allows students to become a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner In-Training, following graduation. While studying at Trent, students also receive complimentary SER membership, unlocking free access to valuable learning resources, networking opportunities, and professional development benefits.

The ERES BSc curriculum combines foundational courses in ecology, environmental chemistry, soil science, and hydrology with applied studies in resource conservation, environmental policy, and restoration ecology. Students gain expertise in sampling design, data management, field techniques, GIS, and statistical analysis. Known as “the science of hope,” the program prepares graduates to restore ecosystems and protect biodiversity.
