Wenjack Theatre

OCA W101

Named after Chanie Wenjack, Trent's largest lecture hall is located in Otonabee College. The naming of this lecture theatre remembers the work of student leaders from the Indigenous Studies department who, during the construction of Otonabee College, lobbied for the College to be named in Chanie’s honour.

The students saw this dedication as an opportunity for Trent to strengthen its Indigenous Studies program, and establish itself as a force for change, hope, and a positive educational experience.

The campaign led to the memorialization of Chanie through the naming of Trent’s largest lecture hall as the Chanie Wenjack Theatre.

Otonabee College Cabinet Office

OCA W202 | Monday - Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Otonabee College Cabinet collaborates closely with the Otonabee College Office to provide engaging events, programming, and OC traditions. The OC Cabinet is your elected student government who sits on many essential committees across the university and acts as your active voice on campus.

During the academic year, OC Cabinet holds regular office hours, so stop by the OC Cabinet Office located in the Otonabee College Commons to learn more. Questions can also be directed to occabinet@trentu.ca.
