Awards

Champlain College students work hard and play hard, so it is important that we take time to celebrate our successes. In Champlain College we have several events that celebrate the achievements of our students and we have annual awards that are offered to those who make exceptional contributions through academic study, contribution toward college life and toward the greater Trent University.

There are many prizes and awards associated with the Colleges at Trent University.  A complete listing of all prizes and criteria can be found in the Academic Calendar. These awards were created through generous gifts from alumni, faculty, staff and students.

Note that college bursaries are administered by Financial Services

  • High Table Dinner - Welcome to post secondary education
  • Annual Celebration of Excellence - Champlain College celebrates students with GPA >80%
  • Earning your Stripes – Champlain Students show contribution to community
  • Graduation Celebration and Awards Ceremony - Dinner and awards ceremony to celebrate Champlain graduates

Each year Champlain College honours our students who have maintained an average of 80% or higher throughout their studies.  Students who achieve this are awarded a certificate and a pin of excellence, they are also invited to a celebration dinner or social, with faculty of their choice.  Notification of the distinction will be sent out two months before the event, along with a short questionnaire where students must indicate if they would like to receive the pin and certificate and to RSVP for the event. Questions about the certificate or event can be sent to champlain@trentu.ca
