Biography
Dr. Yan Li obtained her PhD in Accounting from University of Alberta. Prior to joining Trent University in 2023, Dr. Li has worked in both research and teaching intensive institutions, including National University of Singapore, University of Melbourne and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Dr. Li has extensive teaching experience in a variety of accounting courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her research interests focus on the effects of financial accounting information and management choices. Her research also extends financial accounting perspectives to contemporary issues in other disciplines such as finance, auditing and sociology. Dr. Li has published research papers in leading accounting and finance journals. Her work has also been invited to be presented at a number of highly selective accounting conferences around the world.
