Community Standards of Respect & Inclusion
Trent Athletics & Recreation is committed to building a safe and inclusive space where all people are valued and celebrated. As members of the Trent community, we each share responsibility for encouraging constructive behaviour and, to the best of our ability, challenging behaviour that is harmful.
The standards we collectively choose to uphold have a significant impact on our ability to be inclusive and the value of education at Trent. This university is intended to be a collegial environment characterized by mutual respect.
Bullying, harassment, discrimination and disrespect undermine this goal and have no place in our community. Unacceptable behaviours include:
- Not following staff instructions
- Yelling, insults or profanity
- Unwanted attention and sexual advances
- Expressions of bigotry, hatred or prejudice
- Violence, threats and intimidation
Engaging in these behaviours may result in access privileges to the Athletics Centre being revoked.
If you experience or witness harassment or discrimination of any kind, get support from an Athletics & Recreation staff member or call Campus Security (705-748-1328).
Please review all of our Athletics Centre Policies & Procedures for more information.
