COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Teaching Students with Communication Needs (Autism Spectrum Disorders) AQ supports educators in developing classroom structures, routines and programming considerations aimed at promoting Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Differentiated Instruction (DI) and Culturally-Relevant and Responsive Pedagogy (CRRP) for students with Autism.

This course will support educators in better understanding how to implement evidence-based strategies into the classroom in order to promote independence, achievement and equity for students with ASD. 

PREREQUISITES

(as required by OCT)

• OCT Member in Good Standing or OCT applicant if new Ontario BEd graduate (Read more)
   
• Your teacher education program coursework and practicum must be successfully completed before registration
