COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Additional Qualifications course, the Learning Environment, is designed to empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to design and maintain effective classroom environments that support student achievement, engagement, and well-being. Rooted in the principles of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration, the course explores proactive approaches to classroom management that honor the diverse needs of all learners.

Through a blend of theory and practice, participants will examine evidence-based strategies, restorative practices, and methods for fostering social-emotional learning. Key topics include building strong relationships, establishing clear routines, creating a sense of belonging, and managing challenging behaviors with empathy and equity.
