Beyond September 30 – A Discussion 

This interactive professional development session invites faculty to engage with “Beyond September 30: Reflections on Reconciliation Through Education,” a brand new resource centred on the reflections of an Indigenous Bachelor of Education Program (IBEP) student. It was co-created by IBEP student Taylor Stevenson and Mitch Huguenin, Education Developer, Indigenous Pedagogy at Trent University. Learn more about the authors. 
During this session, we will explore the resource, touching on themes of relationship, supporting Indigenous students, lifelong learning, humility, and reconciliation as an ongoing educational responsibility. With ample opportunity for discussion and reflection, participants will consider how these ideas might inform their own teaching practices and learning journeys.
