Green Cleaning

Over the years as more environmentally conscious cleaning product became available, Trent started to bring them into our facilities.  In 2009, the SO supported Facilities Services in making a deliberate shift to an entire suite of products that embraced this philosophy.  Embedding environmental criteria into the requirements from vendors, Trent not only prioritized products that carry the EcoLogo and Green Seal third party certifications but also to have care taking staff test these products on campus.  This ensured that products not only met our environmental values but also had the endorsement of the people who would be using them day-to-day.  The only product that we have not found a suitable replacement for is graffiti remover.
