Research Interests:
I study how children use uncertain input to decide what is true. My research focuses on our metacognitive sense of confidence, examining how adults and children use uncertainty as an informative signal to learn about the world and about the people around them. I have studied how children and adults represent uncertainty and how this changes throughout development, how children leverage uncertainty to make informed decisions, how children evaluate others as good teachers and good collaborators, how children themselves learn to be good teachers and good collaborators, and much more within the realm of cognitive and social development.
- Open to graduate students for Fall 2026. I look for students to have strong research skills and a direct interest in my lab's research.
- Open to Honours thesis students for Fall 2026. I prefer to have students work in my lab prior to an honours project, so please contact me early.
- Open to practicum students for all terms. Practicum students should submit an RA application (typically available 1 month before each term). Contact me to be notified when this is available.
