Forensic Anthropology

Forensic Anthropology is the application of biological anthropology and forensic science to criminal investigations, mass disasters, and human identification cases. This highly specialized B.Sc. program equips students with the skills needed to analyze human remains and the contexts in which they are found, interpret forensic evidence, and contribute to medico-legal investigations worldwide.

As a Physics student at Trent, you have options to study and specialize your knowledge in a range of topics, including astronomy, electricity and magnetism, classical mechanics, thermodynamics, and quantum computing. Chemical Physics

In Chemical Physics at Trent, you’ll work closely with award-winning Chemistry and Physics faculty in small-group interactive workshops and labs, making you a strong candidate for future employment or graduate studies.

In this tailored yet multidisciplinary program, you can take advantage of a variety of scholarships and awards as well as hands-on work experience so you can graduate ready to enter the workforce.

Indigenous Environmental Studies/Science

Trent’s groundbreaking Indigenous Environmental Studies/Science (IESS) degree program, offered jointly with the School of the Environment, is the first program of its kind in North America. This degree focuses on the interaction and collaboration of Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Euro-centric Knowledge Systems and offers two study pathways.

Environmental Chemistry

Trent’s Environmental Chemistry program introduces you to the formation of chemicals, how they interact with and cycle through the environment, and the impact of contaminants on ecosystems.

In this program, you will acquire fundamental technical skills in chemical analysis and apply them to issues of pollution, pest control, climate change, and toxicology analyses.

You will also benefit from experiential learning, research, and work placement opportunities in both the School of the Environment and Trent’s diverse Chemistry department.

B.A. students focus their studies on how people encounter and shape their environments, while B.Sc. students examine the human and natural forces that shape the physical world, investigating topics in climate, hydrology, natural hazards, soils, and earth materials.

Economics
