In 2023, the Trent Durham Task Force assessed a strategic path forward for the Trent Durham GTA campus.

The 2022-23 review was designed to examine all aspects of current alumni operations and activities.

In November 2021, Trent University and Champlain College established a committee to consider and reflect upon the Champlain legacy at Trent.

Trent University’s vision statement commits it to the creation of "vibrant, engaged and sustainable communities of learning, teaching and research committed to free enquiry and expression." 

In October 2020, the President established the Anti-Racism Task Force (ARTF). Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President Academic, it was asked to investigate issues of equity, diversity, inclusion & racism at Trent University, and to formulate recommendations to ensure that Trent is an institution which is committed to equity and diversity.

An external review that the university’s Board of Governors has requested during the current academic year (2017-18).

A Review on the Co-op, Career Services and Experiential Learning at Trent University

The external review of Catharine Parr Traill College launched by Trent president Leo Groarke looked at the graduate college's financial viability and potential renewal.

In late 2015 and through early 2016, a review of student retention and success was conducted.

In 2014/15, Trent University introduced a new approach to budget planning called Responsibility Centred Management (RCM).

In December 2015, an administrative review of the international activities and operations at Trent University was conducted.

A review of Trent’s recent enrolment data and current student recruitment activities was conducted in the Fall of 2014.
