Information for NSERC Alliance grant applicants.
As of May 1, 2024, Alliance grant applications aiming to advance a listed sensitive technology research area must include the Attestation for Research Aiming to Advance Sensitive Technology Research Areas Form. Submission of Alliance applications will temporarily pause, starting on April 26 at 12:00pm EDT until May 3, 2024, to enable the necessary changes to the online system to support these updated requirements. All applications currently being prepared in NSERC’s online system, but not yet submitted by the pause, will need to include the completed attestation form(s) if that application aims to advance a sensitive technology research area.
Upcoming NSERC and SSHRC system outage
NSERC and SSHRC will be moving their data centre over the Canada Day long weekend, impacting the research community.
There will be a planned outage of NSERC and SSHRC’s corporate websites and several granting portals and systems from Friday, June 28, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. (EDT) until Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. (EDT).
To minimize the impact of this interruption, both agencies have made precautionary changes to competition timelines and corporate activities. Impacted programs include: NSERC: I2I, CREATE, and scholarships/fellowships. SSHRC: Connection, PEG, PDG, PG Stage 2, and scholarships/fellowships.
For a list of the changes as well as the systems that will be unavailable during the move, and for updates, please visit NSERC and SSHRC dedicated web pages. Email and phone lines will not be affected by the move.
