Welcome to the TFSON
This site is intended to provide you with the basics of what you need as a Nursing student to start off on the right foot in September. One priority this summer will be to review your program requirements and register for your courses. We've also included information to help you prepare such as first year supplies for Nursing and what you can review over the summer to help you prepare academically.
Nursing students are required to complete non-academic requirements (NARs) to be eligible to enter clinical placement in the winter semester of your first year.
While this site is intended to answer some of your questions related specifically to the Nursing program, Trent University has many support services for students. We are here to help you achieve success.
Congratulations, and welcome to the Trent/Fleming community!
Accepted your offer to the BScN - Next Steps
Step 1: Review Program Map, Degree Requirements and Register for Courses
In preparation for registration, review the Program Course Map for your program stream. Course maps are an excellent quick reference guide and can be used to track your progress through your degree.
The Academic Calendar is the official document of the University that outlines all of the institutions policies, rules, and program requirements. Ensure you become comfortable using it in addition to our course maps.
Registration is now open for all students! For helpful how-to video's and information check out Academic Advising's Course Selection & Registration webpage.
Step 2: Tuition Deposit
Non-refundable deposit due for new and returning students beginning September 2025:
$2500.00 International Students
$500.00 Domestic Students
Due June 14th, visit Tuition, Scholarship and Financial Aid for further information.
Step 3: Immunization and Communicable Disease Form (click to download form)
This is evidence of immunization history and serology report, proof that immunizations are up-to-date and complete. This can be completed by a Healthcare provider (ie. Physician, Nurse Practitioner).
You are encouraged to complete this requirement during the summer with your primary healthcare provider. Students should start this process as soon as possible.
