Growing International Partnerships Position Trent in Winner’s Circle in National Research Rankings

Trent has been named to the winner's circle as the number one undergraduate university in Canada for growth in international partnerships and collaborations, as part of a special Five-Year University Spotlight on University Research Partnerships & Collaborations in the 2023 Research Infosource rankings.

The University also secured the second winner’s circle mention in the national rankings – taking the third position in Canada in the undergraduate category for cross-sector collaboration publications.

“It's rewarding to see Trent's efforts in expanding our international partnerships and collaborations recognized in these national research rankings," said Dr. Cathy Bruce, vice president of Research & Innovation at Trent. “Trent’s overall rankings are a testament to the University's strengths in fostering cross-sector research and partnerships across the globe as well as here at home.”

Including the two winner’s circle nods, Trent was recognized among Canada’s top 10 undergraduate research universities in seven of the 10 categories featured in the special five-year spotlight.

Trent was also recognized among the top 50 research universities in Canada across all categories and ranked eleventh overall in the undergraduate category. Also in the undergraduate category, Trent was ranked number two in Ontario for both publication intensity and publication impact.
