Nature Areas Stewardship Advisory Committee Terms of Reference

A standing sub-committee of the Facilities and Grounds Advisory Committee, reporting to the Facilities and Grounds Advisory Committee

To provide advice on the management of the University Nature Areas to ensure their protection and appropriate use
To develop proposals to promote awareness and appropriate University and public use of the University Nature Areas
To seek advice from the Environmental Advisory Board on any matters having environmental implications
To bring to the attention of Senate through the Facilities and Grounds Advisory Committee any matters concerning the Nature Areas having educational policy implications

The Committee composition includes:

3 faculty (at least two from Biology, Geography,Environmental Studies) - one to Chair*
3 students
1 elected staff representative
Vice President, Finance and Administration, ex-officio
Associate Vice President, Physical Resources, or designate

*the Chair sits on the Facilities and Grounds Advisory Committee

Secretarial support for the Committee is provided by the office of the Vice President, Finance and Administration.
