60 Years of Impactful Partnership and Support for the United Way

The United Way helps those in need and the agencies that provide vital services and resources.

We extend our sincere thanks to all Trent employees, retirees, and unions for their outstanding support of the 2025 United Way Workplace Campaign. Together, we exceeded our $100,000 goal, raising $124,847 to help fund meaningful programs and services across the region. This achievement holds special significance as we celebrate 60 years of partnership with United Way Peterborough & District, a longstanding tradition of generosity that reflects our shared commitment to strengthening our local communities. Thank you for helping us make a lasting difference.

2025 Workplace Campaign

How to Donate

• Complete your pledge form: Current Trent Employees
  • Pledge forms have been mailed to all employees.
  • If you didn't receive a pledge form, or need a replacement, email unitedway@trentu.ca
  • Alternatively, complete the Trent Current Employee fillable pledge form, save a new copy, and email it to unitedway@trentu.ca or send via inter-office mail to Mackenzie House
  • Give through payroll deduction, cash, cheque or credit card
  • Attribute your gift to United Way Peterborough or Durham Region
  • New donors, or returning donors increasing their gift by at least 10% will have their gift matched!
• Give Online
  • Be sure to indicate your gift is part of Trent's workplace campaign
• Retiree Gift Agreement Form
  • Retirees will receive a gift agreement in the mail
  • Alternatively, complete the Trent Retiree fillable pledge form, save a new copy and email to office@uwpeterborough.ca, or mail it to: United Way Peterborough & District - 277 Stewart Street, Peterborough, ON, K9J 3M8 

Why Give to the United Way?

Did you know that Trent's donation accounts for 10% of Peterborough's community campaign? As the largest workplace donation, our contributions are vital for the operation of United Way and its partner agencies, which rely on our support to provide essential services and resources to our community.

Your investment goes far, but not far away! Your gift to Trent's United Way campaign directly fuels positive change in our local communities. With your help, we can bridge the gap and improve access to essential services for our neighbours, ensuring that individuals and families in need have the tools, resources, and support to build a better future.

Social change is made in local communities through the United Way’s support for 20 partner agencies and 275 programs in both Peterborough and Durham that address issues facing our community including homelessness, food insecurity, domestic violence, and mental health challenges. You can find a detailed breakdown of how the United Way Peterborough & District uses all of our contributions in their Community Impact Report for 2024-2025.
