INDG 6603H: Indigenous Thought

*It is recommended to start the Indigenous Language Requirement.

*Start planning for INDG6715H: Bimaadiziwin/Atonhnhetsherí:io and/or INDG 6700H: Practicum Field Placement

 

Term Three (May-Aug)

*It is recommended to start INDG6715H: Bimaadiziwin/Atonhnhetsherí:io or INDG 6700H: Practicum Field Placement

INDG6720H: Comprehensive Examination Preparation Course

Program Milestone: Core Comprehensive Written Exam (January or August exam times)

Program Milestone: (May or early June) Oral Exam in Indigenous Knowledge

Program Milestone (July-August): Finalize Proposal for Defence

Program Milestone: Complete Indigenous Language Requirement

INDG6700Y: Practicum Field Placement (to be completed by Term three)

Program Milestone: Dissertation or Knowledge Basket Proposal Defence (within 6 months of completing Core Comprehensive Exam)

Expected Program Milestone: Ethics Approval

 

Term Two

(April) Cohort Check-in Meeting

 

Term Three

Expected Program Milestone: Research and Dissertation writing/Knowledge Basket Project creative work and writing

Program Milestone: Complete INDG6700: Practicum Field Placement

*Ensure Indigenous Language Requirement is complete.

 

Year Four

 

Term One, Two, Three (Sept to Aug)

Expected Program Milestone: Completion of Monograph Dissertation or Knowledge Basket Dissertation

Expected Program Milestone: Dissertation Defence or Round Table Examination

*Note that students must successfully pass both the written and oral comprehensive examinations before defending a dissertation proposal.
