Graduate Scholarships and Awards

Trent funding is generally agreed upon at the time you are admitted to your graduate program.  At that time your program will decide what amounts and sources can be offered to you.  These levels can vary by your degree and program. In addition, there are funding opportunities to graduate students through various scholarships and awards on a competitive basis.

The following awards posted below are available for the 2021-2022 academic year. Students must be aware that deadlines for these awards occur between September 2021 and March 2022. These applications may occur prior to a student beginning their graduate studies and/or during their graduate studies.

We encourage all graduate students to carefully review the following funding opportunities posted below (Federal Scholarships & Award listings, Provincial Scholarships & Award listings, and Internal Scholarships & Awards) as the funding competitions have different application and eligibility criteria. Our office is dedicated to make sure that all graduate students are successful in meeting the financial demands of their graduate education.

Trent University is actively committed to creating a diverse and inclusive campus community. We encourage applications from all students and this includes: Asian or Pacific Islander,  Black or African Descent (North American / Caribbean), Hispanic or Latino, Native American or Alaskan Native, White or Caucasian, Multiracial or Biracial, Refugee/Protected Person, First Nations, Inuit or Metis, Visible Minority (Radicalized Identity), Member of the LGBTQQIP2SAA community, persons with disabilities, including but not limited to: physical, psychiatric, intellectual or learning disabilities, visual impairment, hearing impairments, autism spectrum disorder or other neurological disorders and gender/race/ethnicity not listed.

The conduct of the Committee is guided by Trent University Conflict of Interest Policy

Scholarship decisions are final and no appeals are accepted.
