Ms. Wright has been a passionate member of the Trent University Durham GTA community since 2006. Between 2006 and 2010 Hailey studied at the campus completing her Bachelor of Arts, Honours in History and began working for the institution shortly after completing her degree. Since 2010 she has worked in a range of positions that included student facing support, academic pathway partnership and now holds the position of Manager, Community Relations and Articulation. Ms. Wright provides oversight for Community Relations in Durham and articulation oversight for the entire institution. Ms. Wright brings experience in community building, facilitating connections and assisting in collisions between the academy and the local community. She is highly involved in the Durham Region and represents Trent University on many committees across the Region. Ms. Wright was the recipient of the Trent University Provost Award for Support Staff in 2014 and the Oshawa Chamber of Commerce Next Generation Business Excellence Award in 2019. Ms. Wright lives and works in Oshawa. Her appointment to the staff seat on the Board of Governors for a term of two years began on July 1, 2020.
