Multimodal Learning

What is Multimodal Learning?

Multimodal learning uses a combination of instructional methods—such as visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic—to support different learning styles. This approach helps learners engage more deeply with content and retain information more effectively. By offering varied formats, organizations can create more inclusive and impactful training programs.

As you begin your journey to leverage multimodal learning opportunities...

“In an increasingly complex and multimodal world, the ways we engage with and interpret meaning have expanded far beyond traditional, print-based literacies.” - Berel Peters, 2024

It is important to provide all learners an opportunity to interact critically with texts in order to make meaning, inspire curiosity, and encourage wisdom for a more just world.
