Student Citizenship Awards

Nominations are due Friday, April 3rd, 2020

Canadian Jamaican Club of Oshawa - $475
A full-time undergraduate student who has completed at least one year with an academic achievement of 70% or higher.  Demonstrated involvement in multicultural matters and the best leadership for Black History Month events.

Citizenship Award - $250
A student who shows exemplary community building and involvement on campus and is in good academic standing.

Durham Part-Time Mature Student Award - $500
A part-time mature student on the Durham campus who has completed four or more credits who is in good academic standing.

Graduating Citizenship Award - $500
A graduating student who shows exemplary community building and involvement on campus and is in good academic standing.

Multicultural Council of Oshawa Durham Award - $475
A student who has demonstrated involvement in multicultural matters. Has proven financial need and academic achievement of 70% or higher.

Prince Hall Masons - Jericho Lodge #32 Award - $500
A full-time undergraduate student enrolled at Trent University Durham GTA with an average of 70% or higher, who has demonstrated involvement with multicultural matters.

Rotary Club of Oshawa Prizes - $950 (2 prizes)
A full-time student with an average of 70% or higher and has demonstrated exceptional community service within the greater community.

Trent Durham Leadership Prize - $500
A full-time graduating student in good academic standing, who has shown exceptional leadership skills in the Trent Durham GTA community, engaging with fellow students, faculty, and staff, formally and informally, in order to support and encourage student success in all areas of university life.*

Self-nominations are not admissible. 

Email a letter (max 300 words) outlining the nominee’s achievements to the Chair of the committee: Craig Cameron ccameron@trentu.ca. Self-nominations are not admissible. Work and initiatives that are compensated through student employment through the University or TDSA will not be considered.

*Eligible to graduates who have been student employees of the university, including but not limited to TDSA executives and Academic Mentoring Coordinators
