This program is designed for any role within an organization wanting to understand how to strategically add AI into their business or nonprofit organization.
Course Objectives:
- Learn the importance of AI strategic planning
- Learn how AI works and how to optimize prompts
- Learn how to increase productivity using AI for your communications
- Learn how to improve your marketing strategy using AI
- Learn how small business operations can use AI in their operations
- Learn how chatbots can be used
- Introduction to using AI for websites, search engine optimization (SEO) & geospatial artificial intelligence (GEO) optimization
- Understand AI regulations and compliance requirements
- Obtain an Introduction to online AI governance, ethics and responsibilities
- Learn how to build AI teams
Course Details:
- Attend two x 3 hour workshops
- 9am-12pm Sept 23 (Part A)
- 9am-12pm Oct 7 (Part B)
- Location: Peterborough + Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce, 175 George Street North, Peterborough
- In addition to the workshops participants will create an AI strategic plan taking approx. 4-10 hours

Evaluation:
- Assignment 1: Use AI to introduce yourself.
- Assignment 2: Strategic planning assignment
- Online Module Quizzes: Students can take multiple attempts to evaluate their learning.
Students must score at least 75% on module quizzes and the two assignments to earn the badge.
