Micro-credentials for Employers

Microcredentials are a new and emerging avenue for training and certification within the spheres of higher and continuing education. They are promoted by governments as a tool for workers transitioning between sectors or occupations as they can highlight how a person’s skills can be applied to emerging and growing sectors.

There are several reasons that companies should be interested in Micro-credentials:

  1. Employers can use micro-credentials to identify job candidates who have the required skills when hiring.
  2. They can provide the right type of focused training to new or transitioning employees who need to improve their skills
  3. They offer numerous benefits for employers as they can be flexible, portable and cost-effective to implement.
  4. They help boost employee engagement and support you as an employer
