Community Concierge Program for Recent Graduates

Not sure what your next steps are? We’re here to help.

Through this program, you will have access to several training and upskilling activities to facilitate your transition into the local labour market, including:

Career & Workforce Readiness Modules

The open-access, six-module course includes several interactive components, including a skills identification tool to help you identify your unique skill set. You will also be equipped with interview and networking skills, and a foundation of workplace communication skills and professionalism.

Virtual Seminars

To complement your learning as you go through the asynchronous modules, you will be required to attend the following virtual seminars:

Week 1: What Now?

An orientation into the program - including guest speakers from our partners at the City of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough & Kawartha Economic Development.

Week 2: Where Should I Look?

Job Search - the wins and the worries, and the elevator pitch.

Week 3: Truths of Networking

Accessing the hidden job market with insight from fellow Trent Alumni.

Week 4: Types of Interviews

Mastering the interview hosted by Careerspace.

Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to receive a $1,500 training subsidy, and an additional $500 if you secure employment locally.
