Aaniin! Salut! Hello!
Welcome to the Bachelor of Arts and Science Program, a unique home for interdisciplinary thought and transformative purpose at Trent University, on the territory and treaty of the Michi Saagig Nishnaabeg. My name is Anne Pasek (she/her), and I am the Program Coordinator as well as a professor in the BAS Program. As a researcher I spend a lot of time thinking about climate change and culture, the environmental politics of the tech sector, and experimental ways of doing more sustainable research. In the classroom I lead courses on social theory, science communication, and critical approaches to media art and practice (see more about me and our other BAS faculty here).
Born from a dream shared by faculty who wanted to explore and encourage interdisciplinary research and teaching at the intersections of arts and sciences, our small-but-mighty program offers unique opportunities to explore all that Trent has to offer! There are now many ways to move through the program; in addition to our core degree program, we now also offer Co-op, Medical Science dual degree and BAS/Dr. of Naturopathy double degree options. We encourage you to explore our wonder-filled courses and customizable degree options.
Please feel free to reach out to me or our Academic Administrative Assistant Christine Quigley with any questions, or just to say hello. I look forward to building a community here with you at Trent.
