FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (Updated: April 4, 2022)
ACCESS TO THE TRENT ATHLETICS CENTRE:
Q. Can I purchase a day pass to access the Trent Athletics Centre?
A. Day passes and are not available for purchase at this time. To access the Trent Athletics Centre you will need to purchase a membership. Memberships are 12 month contracts with monthly payments deducted from a bank account. If you are interested in joining you will need to bring a VOID cheque or a pre-authorized debit form from a Financial Institution. We need to have the VOID cheque and Pre-authorized debit form at the time of purchase. If not, we will need to return at a later time with the VOID cheque or PAD form.
Q. Can I purchase a swim pass to access the 25 m Allan Marshall Pool?
A. The Allan Marshall pool is currently closed for maintenance. Please continue to visit www.trentu.ca/athletics for updates on our pool.
Q. I am a Trent Student wanting to use the Trent Athletics Centre during the summer, how can I access the facility?
A. The Trent Athletics Centre offers a Student Summer Membership from April 15th-September 5th, 2022. Trent Students who are not enrolled in summer classes on campus, and Trent Students who are enrolled in web-based only summer classes are eligible to purchase a Student Summer Membership. Students who go to College/University or Secondary School are also eligible for the Student Summer Membership. Proof of student status (ie: current student card/Trent Student) will need to be shown at the Member Services desk at the time of purchase. Student Summer Memberships are pay in full, and include a parking pass to our F lot for the duration of membership. Please click here for pricing details.
FACILITIES:
Q. Can I rent a locker for the summer?
A. At this time, we have day use lockers available to put your belongings in while you use the Trent Athletics Centre. You must remove your contents from a locker daily. We recommend bringing a lock or purchasing a lock at our Member Services desk for $9.00 to keep your contents safe and secure. Contents left in a day use locker overnight will have the lock cut and contents held for 7 days only.
Q. Can I rent a towel?
A. Towel rental is not currently available.
Q. Is the Sauna currently open?
A. The sauna is closed.
MEMBERSHIPS:
Q: Can I purchase a membership to the Trent Athletics Centre?
A: New memberships are available for purchase. All memberships are on a 12 month contract. Memberships are monthly payments debited directly from a bank account. Please come into the front desk at the Athletics Centre and we will be happy to set up your membership.
Please bring a VOID cheque or Pre-Authorized Debit form, and identification. A one-time capital fee of $50.00, is applied to all Community, Alumni, & Corporate memberships to support reinvestment in equipment and facilities. This fee is waived on Youth/Child, Staff & Faculty and Trent Retiree memberships.
Cancellation Policy: Memberships may be terminated any time provided the Athletics Centre is provided 30 days notice.

Q. I am an existing member, what do I need to do to reactivate my membership?
A. You may come in to the Trent Athletics Centre, and see us in person and we will reactivate your membership. If you were paying in full prior to COVID, you will need to bring a VOID cheque or Pre-Authorized Debit form with you. Alternatively, please email us at acsales@trentu.ca and we will send the appropriate documentation, and what we will require to get your membership reinstated.
Q. How do I go about changing my existing Family Membership to an Adult Membership?
A. Please email at us at acsales@trentu.ca and we make the change for you.
Q. I paid in full prior to COVID and have 6 months remaining on my membership, and I want to return, do I need to bring a VOID cheque?
A. Yes, any existing memberships that were paid in full before March 16th, 2020 will be transferred to our monthly payment membership option. If a member has 6 months remaining on their contract, we will deduct the value of the remaining 6 month t from the 12 month contract fee and divide by 12 months. For your first 12 months back to the Athletics Centre you will have a reduced monthly membership fee. After the 12 months you will be renewed in to the posted 12 month rate.
Q. I have an existing membership how do I cancel my membership?
A. Please email acsales@trentu.ca, with your name and your request to cancel and we will process the cancellation.
STUDENT SUMMER MEMBERSHIPS:
Q: What is the Student Summer Membership?
A: The Student Summer Membership is a membership available for purchase April 15th, 2022- Sept 5th, 2022 at the front desk of the Trent Athletics Centre. The membership allows access to the Trent Athletics Centre, cardio & weight rooms, group fitness classes, rock wall, squash courts and drop-in gym activities.
Who is Eligible:
- Trent Students who are not enrolled in, in person summer classes
- Trent Students who are enrolled in web-based only summer classes
- Students home from College/University & Secondary school students wanting to access the Trent Athletics Centre
Pricing is pro-rated monthly. Student summer memberships receive free parking pass in F lot until September 5th, 2022. *Employees of Trent University must pay for parking.
Q: I am interested in the Student Summer Membership but will only be in Peterborough until June. Can I receive a refund?
A: Pro-rated refunds are not available on the Student Summer Memberships. The membership is meant for individuals who will be able to take advantage of the membership term.
