About Suzanne Bailey
Suzanne is a professor of English Literature at Trent University, where she has been a faculty member since 2001 and one of the founding members of the Trent Centre for Aging and Society (TCAS). She is the author of Cognitive Style and Perceptual Difference in Browning’s Poetry and senior editor of P.K. Page’s Brazilian Journal. She has published on nineteenth-century intellectual history in Victorian Poetry, Victorian Studies, Photography and Culture, Women’s Writing and other journals, and she writes the annual review of publications on Robert Browning for the journal Victorian Poetry. Her interdisciplinary research interests include later-life creativity, writing style and cognition, Canadian modernism and the visual arts, life writing, and digital humanities, including large-scale textual analysis. She has also held numerous administrative roles, including as Acting University Librarian and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies.
