COURSE DESCRIPTION

Building a vision for learning mathematics and using up-to-date research based strategies and curriculum to engage all learners in today's classrooms is the focus of this course. 

Teachers will increase their confidence in the area of mathematics by using different strategies that support student learning. 

If, as a teacher you are interest in mathematics, then join this course and learn more on how learning mathematics is focusing on creating an environment where students are engaged in mathematical inquiry.

Please note this course does not give you the qualifications to teach grades 7 and 8.

PREREQUISITES

(as required by OCT)

  • OCT Member in Good Standing or OCT applicant if new Ontario BEd graduate (Read more)
     
  • Your teacher education program coursework and practicum must be successfully completed before registration

WHAT TO EMAIL IN WHEN YOU REGISTER?

No documentation needs to be sent in.

Technological Education qualified teachers are also eligible to take this course.
