Host Teacher Rebate

Things to note:

  • You are eligible to request the rebate as soon as the drop date has passed in the current course you are taking with Trent’s AQ Office. The rebate is returned to the credit card you used to pay for your course.
  • You must request the rebate within a month of completing your AQ, ABQ, or PQP courseby emailing Trent’s AQ Office at AQ@trentu.ca.
  • You are only eligible for one rebate per AQ session.
  • Complete the corresponding Host Teacher Rebate Form and submit it to AQ@trentu.ca.

Hosting Trent BEd Teacher Candidates

Please note that, effective with the Spring 2026 session, the rebate amount will increase from $100 to $200.

Trent’s School of Education will now offer a $200 rebate for host teachers and education coordinators of our BEd teacher candidates who take an AQ, ABQ or PQP course with Trent University. Host teachers and BEd education coordinators are eligible to apply for the refund upon completion of the AQ, ABQ, or PQP courses at Trent.

  • Host Teachers/BEd Education Coordinators: You are eligible for the rebate if you have been actively involved in hosting a BEd teacher candidate within the last 12 months OR have signed up to host a candidate in the upcoming academic year.

Hosting Trent Teacher Education Stream Candidates

Trent’s School of Education recognizes TES host teachers for supporting Trent students in their undergraduate placements. If you host a Teacher Education Stream student at Trent University, you are eligible to apply for a $25 rebate once per school year during the school year in which you hosted the student.
