The Ian Storey Lecture was established in 2012 upon the retirement of Dr. Ian Storey, who taught in Trent Department of Ancient History and Classics for more than 35 years. Professor Storey established a world-wide reputation as an expert in Old Comedy: the ribald, over-the-top comic drama of Athens in the fifth century BC. The Lecture is supported by the Ian Storey Fund and managed by faculty in the Ancient Greek and Roman Studies Program.
