Clinical Services Available:

  • Birth control counselling
  • Emergency contraception
  • Pregnancy testing and counselling
  • Pap testing
  • STI testing, information, treatment, and follow-up
  • Travel medicine
  • Prescription renewals
  • First aid, wound care and dressing, suture removal
  • Injuries
  • Wart treatment
  • Colds, flus, headaches, migraines
  • Immunizations, TB testing and other injections (allergy, B12, Depo, etc.)
  • Smoking cessation counselling
  • Nutritional assessment and counselling by a Registered Dietician
  • Referrals and/or information to dentists, physiotherapists, massage therapists, psychologists, optometrists, and other specialists
  • Mental health assessments & treatment

Mental Health Nurse: 

The Mental Health Nurse completes an intake, performs assessments, provides individualized mental health education, supports healthy changes, helps students understand medications, and links to community health systems. 

Registered Dietician:

A Registered Dietician can help with these topics and more:
  • questions about food and nutrition
  • energy levels or your performance
  • weight gain or weight loss goals
  • struggle with an eating disorder or body image issues
  • food intolerance, and food allergies
  • questions about dietary or sport supplements
  • vegetarian eating

Cost:

This service has a fee for service. The TCSA plan covers some of the appointment cost. Find out more information about your student benefits. Registered Dietician services are often covered under extended health insurance plans; please check with your parental, workplace or spousal insurance plan to see if appointments are covered.

  • Individual nutrition assessment: $50.00
Missed appointment policy - we require a minimum of 2 hours cancellation prior to your appointment or a $50 fee will be charged.
