Supporting Safe Events at Trent University
The Trent University Emergency First Response Team (TUEFRT) provides first aid coverage for a variety of events taking place on the Symons Campus. Our trained student responders help support the health and safety of participants by providing immediate first aid care and coordinating with emergency services when required.
Whether you are planning a student event, athletic activity, orientation event, fundraiser, residence program or community gathering, TUEFRT may be able to assist with your event first aid needs.
Requesting Event Coverage
Event coverage requests must be submitted at least three (3) weeks prior to the event date to allow sufficient time for scheduling and staffing. To request TUEFRT event first aid coverage, please submit an Event Coverage Request Form.
Submitting a request does not guarantee coverage. All requests are reviewed based on factors including:
- Event size and attendance
- Nature of the activities taking place
- Overall event risk level
- Availability of qualified responders
- Existing operational commitments
Please note: Event organizers remain responsible for the overall planning, safety management and emergency procedures for their event. The presence of TUEFRT responders does not transfer responsibility for event safety from the organizer to TUEFRT.
