Trent University Research Week Begins March 25th!
Coming the week of March 25th, the Office of Research and Innovation is pleased to present Research Week – a weeklong series of events, celebrations, and information sessions all about research at Trent University.

Monday, March 25th
Trent Durham GTA Research Day
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Trent Durham GTA, Building B, Atrium
A celebration of Trent Durham research and community-based projects, join us as students, alumni, staff, and faculty members showcase their work in 5-7 minute presentations and posters sessions, with special prizes for top undergraduate and graduate students.
Tuesday. March 26th
Mid-Career Faculty Session - Coffee with the Vice-President

A special session for mid-career faculty members to join vice-president, Dr. Cathy Bruce for a roundtable discussion over coffee.

Research Finance Drop-in Hour
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Jake Thomas Room (ENW 345)
Drop by the Jake Thomas Room on Tuesday, March 26th between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., where the Research Finance Team will be available to answer questions related to your Research Projects.
The Team can provide training on the suite of financial applications, and answer questions regarding accessing and spending your research dollars, eligibility, compliance, and reporting.
Research Security Information Session
12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. AJM Smith Room
Join representatives from Public Safety Canada to learn more about research security and the services they provide to support Trent University researchers - topics covered will include: Safeguarding your Research, the Research Security Centre (RSC), the Government of Canada’s National Security Guidelines for Research Partnerships (NSGRP) and the new Sensitive Technology Research & Affiliations of Concern (STRAC) policy.

Celebration of Community Based Research

Join us for the Trent Community Research Centre’s Annual Celebration of Community-Based Research! This dynamic event showcases the results of this year’s student research, including a research poster showcase, student presentations, an insightful research panel, and an awards presentation recognizing student, community, and faculty leaders in community-based research.
