  • 0.5 PSYC credit from B2

Additional Requirements for the B.Sc. only:

(not required of students pursuing the B.A.).

  • Required science credits: (14.0 for Honours, 11.0 for General), including specifically:

    * PSYC majors commencing studies 2019AY - PSYC B.Sc. Honours at least 2.0 science credits (Sc designated courses) in addition to psychology courses and courses cross-listed with psychology.

    ** PSYC majors commencing studies 2019AY -  PSYC B.Sc. General at least 1.5 science credits (Sc designated courses) in addition to psychology courses and courses cross-listed with psychology.

  • Required math credit or equivalent - For PSYC majors, PSYC 2018H and 2019H fill this requirement for the B.Sc.

Trent University Degree Requirement Checklist


Note: Standard requirements for all Trent degrees.

  • Academic Status of Good Standing.
  • Requirements for specific programs as outlined in the Academic Programs section of current Calendar.
  • At least three (3.0) credits, with a grade of 60% or higher, leading to majors in different disciplines.
  • No more than seven (7.0) 1000 level credits.
  • A maximum of one (1.0) credit with a D grade (50 to 59%) in courses in a major or each joint-major or minor (not applicable to BScFS, BScN, BSW).
  • Total credits required (20.0 credits for Honours, 15.0 credits for General).
  • Minimum required cumulative average (65% for Honours; 60% for General).
  • Minimum credits beyond the 2000 level (at the 3000 or 4000 level): (7.0 for Honours, 4.0 for General, 8.5 for NURS, 9.5 for BSW).
  • No more than the maximum credits allowed in a discipline. (13.0 for Honours, 8.0 for General).

Only for students commencing studies Sept 2018 and later:

  • Minimum 0.5 credit from Approved Indigenous Course List.
