St. George’s University School of Medicine (Grenada) Pathway
Earn an entrance scholarship worth $85,000 to the SGU School of Medicine
Trent University’s partnership with St. George’s University (SGU) in Grenada offers Medical Professional Stream (MPS) students a direct and supported route to earning their M.D. in an internationally accredited program. SGU is known for producing graduates who go on to write licensure exams and complete residencies in Canada, the U.S., and the U.K.
- Students must graduate Trent University with a Bachelor Honours B.A. or B.Sc. while completing the Medical Professional Stream with a cumulative average of 77%
- The Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) is no longer required for admission
- Complete an undergraduate interview with graduates of St. George’s University School of Medicine
- Meet all the admission requirements of St. George’s University School of Medicine , including a letter of recommendation from the Trent University Medical Professional Stream

SGU’s veterinary program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education (AVMA COE), qualifying graduates to pursue licensure in Canada, the United States, and other countries.
How It Works
Students in Trent’s MPS program receive the guidance and preparation needed to apply to veterinary school. By successfully completing the MPS, students may prequalify for conditional acceptance to SGU’s School of Veterinary Medicine.

Trent University’s partnership with the University of Medicine and Health Sciences (UMHS) in St. Kitts offers Medical Professional Stream (MPS) students a direct and supported route to earning their M.D. in a student-focused, accredited Caribbean medical school. With small class sizes and advanced facilities, UMHS provides a hands-on learning environment that prepares graduates for licensure and residency in Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico.

Trinity’s accreditation by CAAM-HP qualifies graduates to enter the U.S. and Canadian residency match processes and pursue licensure in any U.S. state or Canadian province.
How It Works
Students in Trent’s MPS program receive the guidance and preparation needed to apply to medical school. By successfully completing the MPS, students may prequalify for conditional acceptance to Trinity’s Doctor of Medicine program.
Once accepted, students spend the first two years in comprehensive study, including early clinical experience. In the third year, students begin clerkships in the United States, gaining hands-on experience across multiple areas of medicine.

Trent University and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) have partnered to offer an Early Assurance Pathway for students in the Medical Professional Stream. In the 4+4 pathway, after successfully completing four years in the Medical Professional Stream (MPS) at Trent, students will complete four years of CCNM' s naturopathic medicine program—preparing you to lead in the growing field of integrative healthcare.
How It Works
Students in Trent’s MPS program pursuing any BSc. or B.A. degree, who meet the eligibility requirements receive conditional acceptance to CCNM’s Doctor of Naturopathy degree and can apply as early as second year.
