About the Conference
The Trent/Fleming School of Nursing and Social Work department are pleased to be hosting our 2nd annual mental health and addictions conference. The conference will bring together experts, practitioners, students, and all those interested in transforming health and addictions care. Continuing with last year’s emphasis on Innovations and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), we will host two keynote talks, workshops, and several panels focused on the themes of Trauma-Informed Care and Indigenous Wellbeing and Decolonizing Mental Health Care.

- Practitioners (nurses, social workers, counsellors, psychologists, outreach and peer workers, and others)
- Faculty and researchers
- Students
- Persons with lived and living experience
Interested in sharing your expertise?
We welcome submissions from community partners, experts in the field, researchers, and students who would like to contribute to the program (e.g., panelists, poster presentations, displays). Please see the Call for Abstracts.
If you are a for-profit organization, and are interested in setting up a booth at the Lunch Expo to display your product, please contact Ellen Buck-McFadyen (ellenbuckmcfadyen@trentu.ca). Space is $300 and includes registration, lunch, and table/chairs. We reserve the right to decline your request if your organization is not a good fit for our conference themes or Trent University’s values.
