The President's Task Force on Indigenous Strategy invites Indigenous alumni and graduates of Indigenous programs to join us for Paths Forward: Indigenous Alumni Circle.

This gathering is an opportunity to share your experiences, contribute to the development of Trent's 10-Year Indigenous Strategy and reconnect with fellow alumni. The afternoon will include:

  • Presentations by  alumni leaders
  • Lunch catered by Grandfather's Kitchen
  • Listening circles and community dialogue to inform Trent's 10-Year Indigenous Strategy

  • Karen Bird '93 (Otonabee College)
    • President and Founder of Nakehndan - Knowing Your Truth
    • CEO of Batchewana First Nation of Ojibways
  • Dr. Chantal Fiola '06 (Traill College)
    • Associate Vice-President, Indigenous Engagement at the University of Winnipeg
  • Nathan Martin '02 (Otonabee College)
    • Director of National Indigenous Relations at Rogers Communications

The gathering will be moderated by Dan Longboat ’73 (Gzowski College) and Kylie Fox‑Peltier ’04 (Lady Eaton College).
