National All-Canadian honours reaffirm Trent’s position as a competitive and developing force within CUFLA

Members of Trent Excalibur men's lacrosse team, including Nick Fournier #24, Reed Chamberlain #3, and Mason Tardiff #71, celebrate a goal in their home opener against the Queen’s Gaels, earning an 11-8 victory.

Four members of the Trent Excalibur men’s lacrosse team have been recognized among the nation’s best, earning All-Canadian honours from the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) following the 2025 season.

Each year, coaches across CUFLA vote to select the league’s top performers, awarding the All-Canadian designation to athletes who demonstrate exceptional talent, consistency, and impact throughout the regular season.

Reed Chamberlain (Champlain College), a first-year Criminology student and midfielder from Peterborough, made an immediate impact in his debut season, leading the Excalibur in scoring with 28 points (15 goals, 13 assists) through 10 regular season games. This was also the highest total points among CUFLA East rookies. Chamberlain also added two goals and two assists in the playoffs, earning his first All-Canadian selection.

Nick Fournier (Champlain College), a rookie attacker and Teachers Education student from Peterborough, was another key part of Trent’s offensive success, finishing the regular season with a team-leading 20 goals – the most among East Division rookies. Fournier recorded 27 points overall, including seven assists and three power play goals, averaging 2.7 points per game in the regular season, and five goals across two playoff contests.

Mason Tardiff (Champlain College), a second-year History student from Peterborough, posted 12 goals and four assists for 16 points over nine regular season games. The attacker’s performance surged in the playoffs, where Tardiff recorded seven goals, including two power play markers, solidifying his role as an offensive threat.

On the defensive end, veteran leader Curtis Conley (Champlain College) earned his sixth consecutive All-Canadian honour, placing him among the most decorated players in CUFLA history. Conley (Teachers Education, Ottawa, ON) appeared in nine regular season games, contributing four goals while providing experience and leadership that anchored Trent’s defensive structure. He continued to play a stabilizing role in the team’s two playoff games.

Trent Excalibur varsity’s successful seasons in lacrosse, soccer, rowing and rugby are followed by the curling and volleyball teams. Schedules and results for all regular season games can be found at trentexcalibur.ca.

The Trent University Athletics Awards take place in March and will honour standout players and performances of the 2025/26 season.
